VanZant Gives Props To Dancing For Helping Her In The UFC

UFC strawweight Paige VanZant is gearing up for her first UFC headlining fight. She’ll take on Joanne Calderwood on Dec. 10, in Las Vegas, a fight that will serve as the main event of a ‘Fight Pass’ exclusive card.

VanZant recently talked to reporters and told them about her past dancing experience, saying that she’s grateful for dancing because she thinks it has helped her in the UFC.

“I would have to give a lot of thanks to my dance teachers.”

“[My dance teachers] taught me how to compose myself. They taught me how to be in a professional setting. And, definitely my parents.”

“I don’t think people really understand how much of an athlete you have to be to do dance. I was in it competitively and did a little bit of professional dance, so I’d have to give them thanks.”
