UFC Stacks TUF 17 Finale: Johnson vs. Moraga Title Fight Slated Plus Others | UFC NEWS

The UFC just announced a flyweight championship bout between Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga to take place on the TUF 17 Finale. This will mark the first time a UFC belt has been up for grabs at an Ultimate Fighter Finale.

If you don’t know who John Moraga is, he is a 13-1 submission specialist with 6 of his 13 wins by submission. He is looking to extend his 7 fight win streak (2 inside the UFC) against an always game champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson. This makes for a quick turnaround for Johnson, who just defended his belt for the first time 2 weeks ago at UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Dodson.

Other fights on the card include Travis Browne (13-1) against Gabriel Gonzaga (14-6). Browne is trying to rebound from the first loss in his career, while Gonzaga is looking to extend a three fight win streak.

Also, the second ever women’s fight in the UFC will see Meisha Tate (13-3) taking on Cat Zingano (7-0).

Two featherweight fights round out the card with Bart Palaszewski (36-16) and Cole Miller (18-7) both trying to avoid 3 straight losses, and Daniel Pineda (17-9) against TUF 15 contestant Justin Lawrnece (4-1).

The event will take place on April 13 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
