The rematch isn’t even in the books and Renan Barao is already planning a rubber match with TJ Dillashaw!

Dillashaw handed Barao his first loss in over nine years at UFC 173 when he defeated him for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. The two agreed upon an immediate rematch, but injuries from both camps caused the fight to get delayed twice.

This weekend, Dillashaw and Barao will square off in the octagon to decide the fate of the championship. Of course, Barao is confident he will walk out with his hands raised. When he does, he will give Dillashaw an immediate rematch.

“I think it would be fair and that the UFC will decide to go for the third time with Dillashaw,” Barao told MMA Junkie. “T.J. beat me the first time, I’m going to beat T.J. this time, so I can’t think of anyone else besides him.”

Barao has spent seven months away from the octagon and claims to be in the best shape of his career. “We were doing an excellent job in the training at that time, but I’m even better right now,” Barao said. “That kind of thing happens. As he got hurt, many other fighters got hurt. I was disappointed because it was an excellent camp and excellent training, but now I feel even better.”

“Everyone knows my style; I want to finish this fight as soon as possible,” Barao said. “I’m going to knock out or just submit him.”
