Report: Thiago Tavares injured, forced off UFC Fight Night 36 card

According to a report from MMAJunkie, Thiago Tavares has suffered an injury and has been forced out of his featherweight debut, which was scheduled to take place at ‘UFC Fight Night 36’ opposite Zubair Tuhugov.

UFC officials are now seeking a short-notice replacement opponent for the promotional newcomer, Tuhugov.

UFC Fight Night 36 takes place February 15 live from the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The events main card will air on FOX Sports 1 with the prelims showing on UFC Fight Pass.

The event is headlined by a key middleweight bout featuring former Dream Champion Gegard Mousasi taking on former UFC light heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida.
