Report: Evans eyeing bout with Shogun

Rashad Evans

Both Rashad Evans and Shogun Rua are legends in the sport of MMA who have fought practically every top ranked fighter in their weight class. With that being said, they have yet to fight each other.

The pair was slated to fight back at UFC 128 for the UFC light heavyweight championship, but Evans was forced out of the fight. Now, according to Ariel Helwani who spoke on UFC Tonight, after Shogun recovers from shoulder surgery Evans wants the pair to finally square off.

So far no word yet on when Shogun will be ready to return from his shoulder surgery, which is why his management team said he cannot commit to fighting in March like Evans would like.
