A key middleweight bout featuring Yoel Romero taking on ‘Jacare’ Souza has been re-booked and will now serve as the co-main event for April’s UFC on FOX 15 event.

Ariel Helwani reported the news on Wednesday night’s edition of “UFC Tonight” on FOX Sports 1.

Former Strikeforce middleweight title holder Ronaldo Souza is currently riding a seven-fight win streak, which includes octagon victories over Chris Camozzi, Yushin Okami, Francis Carmont and most recently Gegard Mousasi. “Jacare” has scored fight-ending finishes in 6 of his past 7 victories.

Meanwhile, Yoel Romero will be looking to move his octagon record to a perfect 6-0 when he faces “Jacare” this April in Newark. Romero was last seen in action at September’s UFC 178 in Las Vegas, where he scored a controversial third-round TKO victory over Tim Kennedy. Prior to that win, Romero defeated Brad Tavares via unanimous decision at April of 2014’s ‘UFC on FOX 11’ event.

UFC on FOX 15 takes place April 18 live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The evening’s main card airs on FOX following the prelims which are set for FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

The ‘UFC on FOX 15’ event is headlined by a middleweight fight featuring former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida taking on former Strikeforce title holder Luke Rockhold.
