Leonard Garcia’s UFC Future ‘Not Looking good’ According to Dana White

By bjpenndotcom - April 29, 2013

With a particularly lack luster performance against Cody McKenzie on Saturday nights UFC 159 Prelims, Leonard Garcia is left to ponder whether  he’ll be called to fight again in the UFC.

Garcia has lost his last five fights and one would wonder if something like this would lead the ‘Bad Boy’ to consider whether or not he himself wants to continue on with such a turbulent mixed martial arts career. Garcia has made himself famous for a certain willingness to go out and swing for the fences against any man who stands to oppose him. Although most would agree that this is not the most efficient way to ensure lengthy career, it has been a pleasure to most who have witnessed a past Leonard Garcia fight.

When UFC President Dana White was asked what was to come of Garcia’s future in the UFC’s Featherweight Division he had little say stating,

“I don’t want to say it, but it’s not looking good, He got beat,” said White. “He even got beat standing up. Cody McKenzie beat him tonight, every way you can beat a guy.”

Even being one of the more exciting featherweights to watch, it would be a shock to see Garcia scheduled to fight again in the UFC anytime soon, and if the UFC does decide to part ways with him any other organization would certainly be happy to add him to their roster.

The true question is if this is what Garcia wants for himself. He has been a welcome addition to any fight card hes been a part of, but being without a win in his last five outings he may be looking for the door.
