Dustin Poirier has stepped inside of the octagon with some of the best fighters UFC has to offer, including “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. McGregor will walking into his fight with UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo as the underdog, but he is riding an incredible wave of momentum no other underdog has experience before.
McGregor’s UFC debut was a quick one, as he knocked out Marcus Brimage at UFC on Fuel TV 9 in just over a minute into the first round. He continued his dominance with wins over the likes of Diego Brandao and Max Holloway, but his first TRUE test was against Dustin Poirier at UFC 178. McGregor passed his test with flying colors and will soon challenge for the UFC Featherweight Championship.
Poirier has felt McGregor’s strength first hand and knows what he is capable of and has picked the underdog to walk out with the gold.
