Antonio Carlos Junior Announces Move To Middleweight Following UFC FN 58 Loss

Last night at UFC Fight Night 58, Antonio Carlos Junior lost a unanimous decision to Patrick Cummins.

Following the loss, Carlos Junior announced he would be joining the middleweight division, dropping down from light heavyweight. The move will make Carlos Junior’s next fight his third UFC fight, and also his third fight in a new weight class with the promotion.

He spoke through a translator at the post-fight press conference.

“He deserved the win. I will come back better, and I will drop to the middleweight division.”

“I couldn’t get the win; he is a tough guy,”
