Cub Swanson Retracts Aldo Comments, Says He Meant Jens Pulver | UFC NEWS

Earlier this week we released a quote from Cub Swanson saying he can beat Jose Aldo 10 out of 10 times.

Check it out!

“I know that I could win that fight 10 out of 10 times if we did it again, It’s not even an issue to me anymore… I want all three of those pretty bad. The Koch fight, I think he’s a real tough kid. I was supposed to fight him twice and I feel terrible that I wasn’t able to follow through with that for the fans and for him. That’s something I want back. The Zombie is just somebody who everybody loves. Everyone thinks he’s the best up-and-comer, and I don’t think so. That’s somebody I would love to throw down with. Lamas, he’s a stud and I felt like that was my fight and I messed up and I would like to give it another shot.”

Now Swanson went back on Sherdog Radio to clarify that he did not mean to say Jose Aldo, he actually meant Jens Pulver.

Hop to page two to check out his retraction.

“We were going back and forth about different past opponents, and that was a mental error on my side. I was talking about Jens Pulver, and I thought you guys had asked me about a rematch with him. That’s why I said that was a long time ago and that I had put it past me.

“No, [I don't want my brother to fight Aldo.] My brother is a [flyweight], and he fights at 135 [pounds] as well, but that’s the fight that I would love for my brother to have — with Jens. Jose Aldo is the fight that I want.”
