“Scoring is very flawed. It’s flawed in a bunch of different ways. The biggest reason it’s flawed is because of the 10-Point Must system which was adopted from boxing. That might work in a 12-round fight. 12, three minute rounds is very different than three, five minute rounds. Three, five minute rounds, you’re going 10-9 on rounds that either guy could win and then the next round a guy could get taken down, busted up, dropped, and you score that a 10-9 as well. That makes no f—ing sense. The system in place right now, the scoring system, is from boxing and they need to develop one just for MMA.

“Renan Barao is a champion. If you look at Renan Barao and what he has done, he’s beaten everybody that Dominick Cruz would be fighting if Dominick Cruz was healthy and was the champion. So, [the interim label] takes nothing away from [Barao], other than just that pin, that place holder until Dominick Cruz comes back… But for all intents and purposes, Renan Barao is the real champion. He’s the one that’s beating the guys that need to be beaten.” While on the UFC 168 world tour, UFC President Dana White, told the fans and media in Brazil that their own, Renan Barao, should be considered the real world champion despite holding the interim title.

Top female bantamweight fighter, Cat Zingano, was supposed to follow-up her UFC debut with a coaching stint on TUF and a title fight against Ronda Rousey. Shortly after her third round destruction of Miesha Tate, the female fighter was forced on the shelf with a knee injury and his been rehabbing ever since.
