“This might be it, man… I’d still be in the same position (If he beat Henderson at UFC on FOX 10) There’s a possibility [that’d I’d have turned down a title shot with a win], because what’s the point of winning the title knowing that you’re not going to fight that much longer? UFC on FOX 10 is over and the main event has left many with a sour taste in their mouth. The fight was a great back and forth battle that went all five rounds. Ultimately the judges gave it to Benson Henderson via split decision, with one judge scoring it 49-46 in Henderson’s favor.

“If you had Henderson winning the fight, it wasn’t by that wide of a margin. The fight was a lot closer. I don’t think either guy really went after it and tried to pull out the win. As far as Ben Henderson fights go, this is the typical Ben Henderson fight. This is the way his fights go. He’s a grinder, and he grinds out decisions.”

Josh Thomson looked dominant right off the bat. He landed a takedown in the first minute of the fight and spent more than two minutes in control of the grappling game. He had a body triangle locked on Henderson and it looked like he would be able to put the fight away with a rear naked choke, but he just could not lock it in. Henderson displayed his submission defense and showed the world why he only has two submission losses to his name. After such a dominant first round and an even second round, it all went downhill for Thomson from there.

Gabriel Gonzaga has proven that the still deserves to be in he UFC during his current run and tried to keep his win-streak alive tonight. He put on a brilliant performance in the first round but it seemed like his tank ran out of gas early on. At the start of the second round, his mouth was wide open and he was gasping for air.

#4 Eddie Wineland made his return to the octagon tonight for the first time since losing to Renan Barao at UFC 165 in September 2013. Despite his losing effort against Barao, Wineland stuck to his regular stance of keeping his hands low relying on his head movement to keep him ahead of Jabouin’s strikes. Wineland showed that he deserves to stay in the mix for the championship after his dominant performance against Jabouin tonight.

In a slow first round, it was Meza that would land the first takedown. While working for a transition, Camus executed a beautiful reversal and ended up on top for the remainder of the round. While Meza successfully took him down, it was Camus that should have been awarded the round for the amount of time he spent on top.
