UFC stars react to the USA vs. Portugal World Cup game yesterday, which saw the US team forced out of the next round after a 2-2 draw against Portugal. The US dropped an early lead, but then scored two goals to give them the lead with 9 minutes left, however a late game goal assisted by Cristiano Ronaldo gave Portugal the tie. If the US defeats Germany on Thursday they can still qualify for the next round.

UFC legend Chuck Liddell sounded off a few months ago prior to his protege Glover Teixeira fighting Jon Jones, and said that he believed Glover would knockout or submit Jones. Jones fired back with an offer to a superfight with the Iceman, however Liddell laughed off the offer. Last week Jones and Liddell ended up at the same event promoting the new EA Sports UFC game. Liddell joined Fox Sports to explain that it wasn’t awkward, and that he has nothing against Jones.

I’ve been very vocal about not respecting steroid users and guys who cheat. But Chael almost gained an exception with the way he handled it and the way he was so honest and upfront with the fans and all the fighters about the whole situation. “It was never good for the sport to see something like this. But in a way, it was a win for Chael because he got some things off his chest and just be real about everybody.”
