Silva Says No Worries With Health Ahead Of Nick Diaz Bout

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC) says there should be no worries regarding his health heading in to his January 31st showdown with Nick Diaz at UFC 183. “The Spider” was hospitalized due to apparent back pain earlier this month in Brazil. However, after a quick observation from doctors, Silva was released.
Velasquez vs. Werdum targeted for June in Mexico

Fabricio Werdum (19-5-1 MMA, 7-2 UFC) scored a second-round TKO victory over Mark Hunt at last weekend’s UFC 180 event in Mexico to claim the UFC’s interim Heavyweight Championship. According to UFC President Dana White, Werdum will likely get the chance to unify the heavyweight belts with Cain Velasquez this upcoming June at another event back in Mexico.
