UFC 224 Fight Card and Start Time

The octagon will return to Brazil on May 12 for the promotions UFC 224 pay-per-view event.

The fight card is headlined by a women’s bantmaweight title fight featuring current champion Amanda Nunes taking on surging division contender Raquel Pennington.

Amanda Nunes will enter the fight on a six fight win streak, her latest being a razor close split-decision victory over Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 215 this past September. Prior to that, “The Lioness” was coming off a sensation first-round knockout victory over former division queen Ronda Rousey at UFC 207.

Meanwhile, Raquel Pennington enters the title fight on a four fight win streak. “Rocky” was most recently seen in action UFC 205 in November of 2016 where she defeated former division champion Miesha Tate via decision.

In the co-main event of the evening perennial division contenders Ronaldo Souza and Kelvin Gastelum will throw down with the winner moving one step closer to that seemingly elusive title shot.

Also featured on the card is a middleweight scrap between former UFC champions Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida. Both men have are coming off of wins in their most recent performances, which ultimately snapped losing streaks held by both fighters.

If that wasn’t enough to peek your interest, undefeated strawweight Mackenzie Dern returns at the event to faceoff with Amanda Cooper.
