“Invicta FC 11” saw an action packed night of fights take place live from Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California! There was a total of four stoppages and it was a shame the card aired on UFC Fight Pass because it was an event that even a casual mixed martial arts fan would have enjoyed.

Bellator 134 Results: McGeary Dethrones Newton, Earns Decision Win!

The first round was one of the most exciting first rounds mixed martial arts fans have seen all year. It looked as if Newton had the upperhand when he decided to take the fight to the ground, but McGeary trapped him in a triangle choke. Newton’s arm was out of place so he could not be choked, but that did not stop McGeary from trying to submit him. McGeary threw up a slew of submissions including an inverted triangle, kimura, armbar and a key-lock but Newton was game and perfectly defended every attempt. By the end of the round, Newton had turned the tables and gained top control!

Paul Daley made a triumphant return to the Bellator cage tonight as he defeated Andre Santos in easy fashion. Both men seemed to have suffered from fatigue late in the first round and it hindered their performance throughout the fight.

Linton Vassell gained the victory in one of the least exciting fights of the evening, at no fault of Vassell. Vassell was able to take the fight anywhere he wanted and Sokoudjou barely put up a fight in this two round beatdown.
