Yes, there are fighters like Manny Pacquiao, but you can’t argue with the numbers Mayweather brought in throughout his career and the the fact that he was someone who people just simply talked about. He was polarizing, in his bad and good moments. So, who can take up that spot now that he’s retired? According to Bernard Hopkins, the man for the job is former WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

The official White House petition to get Nick Diaz’s five year suspension lifted has blown up, but he still needs all the help he can get! Nearly one month ago, Nick Diaz was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for failing one of his post fight drug tests for marijuana. The commission wanted to make an example out of the fighter and unjustly suspended him for five years. When the result of the hearing was released, fighters took to social media to voice their disproval and it wasn’t long before the White House petition was created.

Everybody from Ronda Rousey to Henry Cejudo spoke out against the Nevada State Athletic Commission on the unfit punishment, and it seems like the music world has Nick’s back as well! American singer and fashion icon Cher is the latest celebrity to tweet in support of Nick Diaz’s suspension being lifted! The music icon shared the following tweet with her three million followers:

Humberto Soto stepped into the ring on October 3rd ready to extend his impressive seven fight win streak at the expense of Antonio Orozco. Instead of picking up his eighth win in a row, however, the judges in the StubHub Center in Carson, California rewarded Orozco the win in what many within the boxing world are calling a “highway robbery”. At the end of ten rounds of grueling action, everybody in attendance was expecting Soto’s hands to be raised in victory. Soto not only dictated the pace of the fight, but dictated where the action went as well. He was truly a ring general and while Orozco definitely landed his fair share of shots, there is a good reason fans in attendance weren’t satisfied with the judges’ decision.

Mintz was present for the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, that took place on Thursday and witnesses say he acted as a hero, possibly saving a whole classroom of students while putting his life on the line.

Fedor Emelianenko shocked the MMA World when he announced that he had signed a contract to fight for former Pride FC boss Nobuyuki Sakakibara’s new Japanese promotion on New Year’s Eve. Shortly after news broke that “The Last Emperor” had in fact signed a deal to fight in Japan, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Fedor would be making a guaranteed $2.5 million for his December 31st fight against an opponent yet to be determined.
