Holm claimed the UFC women’s bantamweight title from Ronda Rousey, who until their meeting was one of the most dominant champions the UFC has ever seen. Holm won in devastating fashion winning round one, and then knocking Rousey out in just 59 seconds of the second round. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was happy to give credit to his teammate. Jones claimed Holm as the greatest of all time in women’s combat sports in a Facebook post, with endearing things to say of the champion’s character:
