Benson Henderson has had his odd history with having a toothpick in his mouth during UFC fights. Henderson has admitted that he trains every day with a toothpick in his mouth and sometimes during his fights, which you think could be dangerous.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan and comedian Tony Hinchcliffe recently found themselves under fire for comments made about Invicta FC champion Cris Cyborg. On a recent podcast Rogan and Hinchcliffe made jokes about Cyborg’s inability to make the bantamweight limit of 135 pounds. Rogan stated that the only way she’d make the weight would be to cut off her penis, an obviously harsh joke.

The new Japanese MMA promotion RIZIN announced the heavyweight tournament bracket for their Dec. 29 card on Monday. Winners from the tournament bracket on Dec. 29 will fight just two days later at the Dec. 31 semi-final and final portion of the tournament, where Fedor Emelianenko is also set to make his long-awaited return in a one match special bout. It’s what the message and reality is for all active fighters. “Smooth” (23-5 MMA) finished his UFC contract in Seoul, Korea against a game Jorge Masvidal. Benson made comments about wanting to retire in the UFC, but made it well known that he’s on the hunt for “greener” pasture. Now, the situation stands for each active UFC fighter. We all know a few things about Conor McGregor. He’s deep in the psychological, as well as the physical aspect of mix martial arts. McGregor is a student of the fight game. He’s seen Aldo’s leg kicking devastation in slow motion replay, like we all have. “Notorious” UFC road began with Marcus Brimage when they fought in April 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden. Notable wins on McGregor’s UFC journey were against Dustin Poirier, Dennis Siver and Chad Mendez. The fight with “Money” at UFC 189 allowed McGregor a chance to unify the belts with Kingpin Jose Aldo Jr.  McGregor is playing the game with the UFC and both sides are winning.

Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum (20-5 MMA) is currently ranked #7 in the pound for pound rankings by Sherdog. The heavyweight champ is widely recognized as the man who decisively beat Fedor Emelianenko by triangle-armbar in 2010.

I guess it can even be electric when you’re hanging out with Northcutt (6-0 MMA) when he’s out of the octagon. The Tristar product recently defeated Francisco Trevino (14-2 MMA) of Macaco Gold team via TKO at UFC 192. Northcutt will get back into the octagon for Fight Night 80, December 10th at Las Vegas, NV for his second fight in the UFC.

Holly Holm derailed the Ronda Rousey express back at UFC 193. We’ve heard a lot of support from a great number of fans and fellow UFC fighters alike after her loss. We’ve also seen the flip side of poor sportsmanship after a loss in which Rousey has been blasted with insults for her recent defeat. Past legends and hall of famers that have made it to the pinnacle of the sport don’t lose what took a life time to get with a loss. It takes more than words to get into the mental state of a champion. The reality is trying to prepare for a barrage of insults and naysayers that are waiting like vultures for a Rousey loss, which could be fuel to a fighter who doesn’t care to listen to the critics.
