Jorge Masvidal and Tim Kennedy’s Twitter beef must not have been enough, because now ‘Gamebred’ is engaging in a cyber-feud with UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. Masivdal is trash talking middleweights due to the fact that he trains who Yoel Romero, who was the #1 contender at middleweight prior to it being revealed that he failed a random USADA drug test.

Following Holly Holm’s spectacularly brutal KO win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, many fans were quick to turn on Rousey. It was nearly impossible to go on social media without seeing a meme of Rousey posted somewhere. The criticism has been so bad that Rousey’s nemesis Cris Cyborg even feels bad for how the former champ has been treated by the public.

Following his 13 second UFC 194 KO win over Jose Aldo, it was revealed that Conor McGregor would be moving up to lightweight to challenge Rafael dos Anjos for his championship belt. It was announced that the fight would headline UFC 197 on March 5th, while Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate would be the co-main event for the bout.

There has been much speculation as to how long Ronda Rousey would stay away from the Octagon following her UFC 193 KO loss to Holly Holm. While the UFC brass wanted Rousey to fight at UFC 200, a delay in filming for an upcoming movie means Rousey won’t have enough time to prepare for a fight at the event.

Ronda Rousey has managed to stay away from the public eye for the most part since her brutal UFC 193 KO loss to Holly Holm. Aside from it being revealed that she would be hosting Saturday Night Live, Rousey hasn’t made many public appearances. Since her loss to Holm, Conor McGregor KO’d Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds at UFC 194 to claim the UFC featherweight championship, and it was announced that McGregor would be challenging lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos for his UFC lightweight championship.

Since the news broke of Yoel Romero’s “potential Anti-Doping Policy violation” notice from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), many fighters have been roasting Romero, particularly Tim Kennedy. Kennedy, who lost a controversial fight against Romero put a hot flame to his former opponent and his potential violation on Twitter. Romero’s training partner and friend Jorge Masvidal came out recently to stick up for Romero and get in some shots of his own on behalf of Romero on Twitter.

McGregor took to Twitter ahead of his UFC 197 bout against Rafael dos Anjos to petition his fans to vote YES to putting his face on the 1€ coin.

More news surrounding Reebok’s partnership with the UFC is buzzing after the UFC on FOX 17 event. Fighters who were fined from Reebok from the event include Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Nate Diaz and lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. “Cowboy” has challenged Reebok to donate his large fine to a military charity, while Diaz has tweeted that his “baby” pay from Reebok is so minimal, they should have kept it all. Rafael dos Anjos was fined a “significant” amount for wearing one of his sponsors t-shirts at his weigh in. Dos Anjos revealed the amount of the fine to MMA Fighting to be $10,000 after he was paid $40,000 for the event from the apparel sponsor as a champion.

On Wednesday, reports were circulating of NFL star Chandler Jones being hospitalized for overdosing on pills. After more information has come to light on the younger brother of former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, it appears it was synthetic marijuana that caused the defensive end for the New England Patriots to be hospitalized on Sunday. The Boston Globe reported that Jones had a reaction after using synthetic marijuana causing him to be “confused.” Jones went to a police station near his home in seek of help and was admitted to the hospital for a “medical emergency.”
