Jackie Buntan squares off with Martine Michieletto at ONE Fight Night 20

Filipina-Amerian Muay Thai star Jackie Buntan looks to continue her winning ways when she returns to ONE Championship on March 8.

Buntan takes on Martine Michieletto in a catchweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 20 on Prime Video. The event airs live in U.S. primetime from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

As of late, the Boxing Works standout has been on a tear. She has authored victories in her last two outings.

Her most recent triumph came in May 2023. There, she delivered a sensational first-round technical knockout of Diandra Martin. This took place in ONE’s historic U.S. debut in Colorado.

Since then, Buntan has tirelessly prepared for her next assignment. After all, she wants to once again vie for the ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title. Of course, the crown is currently in the possession of Swede rival Smilla Sundell.

Standing in Buntan’s way is Michieletto, who is equally determined to make her mark in the division.

In June 2023, “The Italian Queen” announced her arrival in the world’s largest martial arts organization with authority.

There, Michieletto overcame seemingly insurmountable odds to score a unanimous decision victory over Amber Kitchen.

Now, Michieletto sees the bout against Buntan as an opportunity to shake up the pecking order in the weight class.

ONE Fight Night 20 coincides with International Women’s Day

The battle between Jackie Buntan and Martine Michieletto is just one highlight in a stacked lineup.

ONE Championship celebrates International Women’s Day with some of the world’s best female martial artists.

Headlining ONE Fight Night 20 on Prime Video is the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title unification bout between lineal queen Janet Todd and interim titleholder Phetjeeja.

The co-main event features ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues defending her belt against Cristina Morales.
