According to sources, both sides had verbally agreed to a welterweight bout on the July 9th card, however nothing was made official. With that being said, Diaz’s strength and conditioning coach Jose Garcia posted on Facebook in regards to the bout, leading many to believe that the bout will be made official soon.

With just ten days notice, Nate Diaz stepped in to fight UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor in an exciting non-title welterweight bout. White claimed after the fight that it was the most bought UFC PPV event in the company’s history.
