Supergirl reveals advantages against Yu Yau Pui at ONE Fight Night 41: “Height and reach”

Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak knows exactly how she plans to beat Yu Yau Pui when the two meet in an atomweight Muay Thai contest at ONE Fight Night 41: Sinsamut vs. Jarvis on Prime Video on Friday, March 13, live in U.S. primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 22-year-old Thai striker carries 40 career Muay Thai victories into this long-awaited return. After nearly stepping away from combat sports entirely — battling the mental toll of social media abuse and a cancelled fight in August 2025 — Jaroonsak has rediscovered her drive.

The passion that made her one of Thailand’s most dangerous young strikers is fully back.

That last scheduled fight stings the most. A missed weight against Bulgarian opponent Teodora Kirilova saw the bout collapse before it ever happened. Jaroonsak has made no secret of how much it cost her.

“The last time I was scheduled to fight, I missed weight. I informed my opponent that I was willing to pay the penalty fee, but they refused to fight, so the match was cancelled. It was incredibly regrettable because I had been waiting so long for that opportunity and was eager to compete,” Jaroonsak said.

Anna Jaroonsak targets Yu Yau Pui’s clinch weakness at ONE Fight Night 41

Anna Jaroonsak has done her homework on Yu Yau Pui, and she likes what she sees. The 32-year-old Hong Kong striker is relentless going forward. That forward pressure is her greatest weapon — and, Supergirl believes, her most exploitable flaw.

The clinch is where she intends to take this fight. Yu carries a 6-2 promotional record and comes in on back-to-back losses, giving her every reason to push the pace. Supergirl is prepared for that. She brings height, reach, and a weapon set that goes well beyond her signature knees.

At 5-foot-8, Supergirl holds a clear physical edge. The camp has been built around sharpening everything — not just the tools that made her name. Friday is about making a full statement.

“Yu Yau Pui’s scariest strength is her heart. She is incredibly tough and keeps pressing forward relentlessly. I have to find a way to counter her, so she isn’t the only one attacking. Her weakness, however, is that she isn’t very skilled in the Muay Thai clinch game. I’m ready to use my more comprehensive set of weapons to attack her.

“My advantage this time is my height and reach. My weapons should be sharper, and if I land a clean shot, it could definitely drop her. Besides my signature knees, I’ve been adding more focus on my punches and elbows,” Jaroonsak said.
