January’s UFC Fight Night 124 event in St. Louis continues to take shape

January’s UFC Fight Night 124 event in St. Louis continues to take shape with the addition of a women’s strawweight fight between J.J. Aldrich and Danielle Taylor.

Aldrich earned the first win of her UFC career earlier this year in New Zealand defeating Chan-Mi Jeon via decision.

Meanwhile, Taylor is coming off the biggest win of her mixed martial arts career when she defeated Jessica Penne via unanimous decisiont his past April in Nashville.

UFC Fight Night 124 takes place January 14 live from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The event airs on FS1 following the early prelims which will run exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC Fight Night 124 includes a middleweight scrap between former UFC champion Vitor Belfort and dangerous striker Uriah Hall.

“The Phenom”, Vitor Belfort, was most recently seen in action this past June when he defeated former Strikeforce welterweight title holder Nate Marquardt via decision.

Prior to his victory over “Nate The Great”, Belfort had suffered three consecutive knockout losses to Ronaldo Souza, Gegard Mousasi and Kelvin Gastelum.

The loss to Gastelum was eventually ruled a no-contest after Kelvin tested postive for marijuana.

As for Uriah Hall, the former Ultimate Fighter standout is coming off a crushing KO victory over Krzysztof Jotko this past September.

The victory snapped a three-fight losing skid for “Prime Time”, who had previously suffered setbacks to Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson and Gegard Mousasi respectively.

The Janaury 14 event will also showcase what should be a thrilling featherweight scrap between Darren Elkins and Michael “The Menace” Johnson.

If that wasn’t enough, Paige VanZant will make her flyweight debut on the card against Jessica-Rose Clark.
