Fourty nine years years on this day, one of the greatest combat sport athletes of all time gave Ernie Terrell more than he can handle that historic night.

Some believe that the famous ‘what’s my name’ phrase was sparked by religious controversy during the heated tensions of the 60’s however some also believe it to be the simple fact that the late Terrell knew Ali as ‘Cassius Clay’ during their boxing amateur days and had history with Angelo Dundee (Ali’s head trainer) training Terrell for a short stint.

Whatever the case for the famous phrase, boxing’s historic fight will always be remembered by fight fans for years to come.
