Rousey: 'I'd fight on 24 hours notice'
BJPENN.COM News - July 1, 2014
“I’d like to fight again on New Year’s, take a little break in between then, but the UFC knows if there’s an emergency, or if they need me, I’ll step up on 24 hours’ notice. I definitely don’t like resting too much. That high after a win is what I enjoy the most, not sitting around and resting. I can really only enjoy the rest while that high still lingers, so there’s only so long I can enjoy sitting on the couch and eating as much pie as I want and then going to the gym and pressing repeat. I really need that big goal and obstacle to be excited about what I’m doing.” In a recent interview with FOX Sports, UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey explained her desire for competition and how far she’d go for the UFC.

'Stone Cold' Would Love To See Jon Jones Get His A$$ Kicked
BJPENN.COM News - July 1, 2014
“I mean, you here a little stuff on the side, about his lifestyle. I mean, his lifestyle is a little bit different than what he preaches. But, as a fighter, premiere. And, God, in the light heavyweight division! And Gustafsson really handed him his ass and took him in the deepest water that he’s ever been in. So that’s going to be a hell of a rematch. Anyway, he kind of gets on my nerves because I think he’s living two lives. To a degree, yes (he is a hypocrite).” “Yeah, (he annoys me), but in a good way. I would love to see him get his ass kicked, because it’s going to take a hell of a man to be able to do that. I come from pro wrestling, I’m not a judge; but I think he (Gustafsson) did enough last time to get that victory. Some people agree, some don’t, nonetheless it was a hell of a fight. And we knew Gus was on his way up to be a superstar. That match made him a superstar. But, what that match proved to me about Jon Jones was that when he’s in deep waters, he had the heart of a champion. So, when I say some things about Jon Jones irritate me, I respect who and what he is inside that Octagon, make no mistake about that.”

BJPENN.COM News - June 30, 2014
“I will have to do the surgery again after my next fight, and then I will be cleared to train again in four or six weeks. I will have to do the surgery again since I can’t take testosterone (replacement therapy). Some use it for ego, but (the TRT ban) is a problem for those who really need it. That was the first time I used it. I always fought without TRT and I will continue.” In a recent interview with The MMA Hour, Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva discussed his need for surgery following the ban on TRT.
Bas Rutten: 'Wanderlei Silva Has Forever Tarnished His Legacy'
BJPENN.COM News - June 30, 2014
“What is happening lately to him, it’s a shame. This is going to be a tarnish on his career. I talked about it on ‘Inside MMA’ last Friday with Dana White, I was at the offices, at the UFC offices, and you know it’s true. With the athletic commission, once you walk out while you have to do a test, oh they’re gonna make an example out of you, you know. Otherwise, when you get caught, maybe you can’t fight for six or nine months, but that’s pretty much the maximum penalty, you know.” “This is going to be much worse than nine months, I guarantee you that. They’re going to go like ‘ok, let’s make sure this will never happen again’, and god knows they’re going to give him a couple of years. And with the age that he is right now, this could be a career killer, you know. And that’s a shame, because he’s such a good guy and such a fun guy to watch, always exciting, I mean the fights he had in Pride where just the wildest, all the time you know. The Axe Murderer is the perfect name for him” MMA legend Bas Rutten told the guys over at Submission Radio that he believes Wanderlei Silva has pretty much ruined his fighting career.
