Earlier today news broke that Renan Barao was forced out of his bout against TJ Dillashaw tomorrow night at UFC 177. An inside source close to Barao told us that the former bantamweight champion passed out while cutting weight and for his own safety wouldn’t fight.

Earlier today news broke that Renan Barao had withdrawn from his fight with TJ Dillashaw for ‘unknown reasons’, however an inside source close to Barao told us that Barao passed out while making weight, which was why he was forced from the card. As a result, Joe Soto, who was scheduled on the preliminary card, stepped in on 24 hours notice to fight Dillashaw for the belt.

UFC President Dana White posted a behind the scenes video from his UFC 177 vlog that shows Uriah Hall getting his toe set into place after UFC 175. For those who missed the card, Hall’s toe was almost broken clean off, and was bent at close to a 90 degree angle. Hall still fought to a decision with the broken toe, and ended up winning.

Shortly after the altercation Aldo admitted that he shoved Mendes to hype the fight, which Dana White is saying is false.

The UFC will be streaming Invicta FC’s next event on their internet subscription service, Fight Pass. That takes place on Sept. 6 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. This is the first of many Invicta events that will air on Fight Pass. The card will feature 3 title fights. The main event will be an atomweight (105) title fight between champion Michelle Waterson and challenger Yasiko Tamada. Also on the card are title fights in the strawweight (115) and bantamweight (135) divisions.
