Eddie Bravo Demonstrating Rubber Guard To Rickson Gracie

Earlier today Joe Rogan brought Rickson Gracie onto the Joe Rogan Experience as his guest for the episode. After the show however Eddie Bravo, who is a regular face for those who watch the Joe Rogan Experience, approached Rickson to talk to him about his style of JiuJitsu, 10th Planet JiuJitsu. For those who don’t understand what a groundbreaking moment this is for JiuJitsu, let me explain. Rickson Gracie, the son of Helio Gracie, is the ‘head honcho’ of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in today’s time. Eddie Bravo on the other hand, has been on the receiving end of harsh criticism for his unorthodox style of Jiu-Jitsu, which doesn’t use the traditional Gi. Bravo calls his style “10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu”. Eddie Bravo basically invented a guard that he adapted for Jiu-Jitsu in MMA called the ‘Rubber Guard’.

Former UFC welterweight champion Geroges St. Pierre can be seen in this video posted by MMANation.com receiving Tecar therapy at Kessler clinic in Southern California. For those that don’t know Tecar therapy is one of the most groundbreaking and interesting rehab techniques currently used today. Basically through the gel that is applied, a plate that is attached to St. Pierre’s foot, and the tool being used to apply the gel, electrical signals are sent through the tissue to reactivate channels that have become inactive due to the injury.
