Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon doesn’t plan on hearing the final bell. The Thai striker has a prediction, and it ends with Abdulla Dayakaev unconscious.

The bantamweight Muay Thai contender faces Dayakaev in the ONE Fight Night 39 main event on Friday, January 23, inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. The bout was originally scheduled for November but got pushed back when Dayakaev withdrew due to injury. Now the wait is over.

Rambolek walks into this fight riding a four-fight winning streak. The 22-year-old earned his six-figure contract through the ONE Friday Fights series back in January 2023. Since then, he racked up 10 victories in 12 outings. Training at Superbon Training Camp has sharpened his weapons beyond just raw power. His timing improved. His defense tightened. His offensive arsenal expanded.

But he knows the man across the ring brings danger. Dayakaev sports a 75 percent finishing rate across eight victories since arriving in November 2023. The Russian has built his reputation on heavy hands and killer instinct.

“Dayakaev is a very skilled fighter,” he said. “There’s been some hype that he and I should fight against one another. There has to be a decision of who is going to be better because we missed it in our last event.

“I have been watching him in every fight. I have honestly studied his past fights, probably all of them, to see if he has any weakness. I watch them in order to prepare my counter strategy.”

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon sees clear advantage over Abdulla Dayakaev

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon has done his homework. He watched the tape. And he identified what he believes will be the difference maker in this fight.

The Thai striker respects Dayakaev’s power but sees a one-dimensional approach that plays into his favor. While acknowledging his opponent’s strengths, he believes the stylistic matchup gives him multiple paths to victory.

“Dayakaev’s fighting style? Punches, nothing more,” he said. “His strengths include his powerful strikes and the punches. The advantages I have include my variety of Muay Thai weapons. I may have better speed compared to him, too.

“I would describe myself as a second-step fighter. I wait for the timing when the opponent strikes and misses, and I can respond very accurately. All he has is his punch, while I am equipped with everything.”

Rambolek carries his own knockout momentum into this main event showdown. He stopped Parham Gheirati with kick and punch combinations in the second round at ONE Fight Night 29 back in March. That performance ended Gheirati’s six-fight winning streak. Most recently at ONE Fight Night 35, he demolished Dmitrii Kovtun with a two-punch combination in round two.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Victory positions the winner as next challenger for ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane. Rambolek understands this fight is more than just another win. It’s a statement moment. And he’s ready to make his message loud and clear.

“The ‘Smash Boy’ wouldn’t be able to smash me because he will be smashed by me first,” he said. “In our fight, I will put his lights out.”
