Ray is the president of the WSOF and is plenty busy as their second event is set to take place at the Revel Ovation Hall, in Revel Beach, NJ on Saturday, Mar 23. Andrei Arlovski is set to take on Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in a heavyweight main event, with Marlon Moraes taking on Tyson Nam as the Co-Main event. While Josh Burkman, Aaron Simpson, Paulo Filho and other names round out the card. We will talk the fight card with Ray, how life has changed being on the other side of the cage, and the recent news that they have attempted to sign John Fitch. Yushin Okami has been in the top five for a long time, you know, so he’s no slouch. At the same time, he was asking for a title shot, I felt he needed to prove his own in the weight class. So, he’s being introduced to the UFC. Down the road, if it presents itself, yeah I’d fight Hector Lombard. I’m definitely a guy that accepts any fight that the UFC throws at me, you know? The UFC will return to Canada this summer, as a live event is set to take place in the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on June 15, 2013. The event, which is expected to serve as UFC 161 (a pay-per-view), will mark the organizations first appearance in the province of Manitoba.

Shields is coming off an Athletic suspension for testing positive for banned substances and is rumored to be scheduled for a date with fellow Strikeforce import Tyron Woodley at UFC 161 this June.

It was announced today that a middleweight bout between Cezar “Mutant” Ferreira (5-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and C.B. Dollaway (13-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) has been added to the UFC on FX 8 card set for May. Ferreira most recently won “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” in 2012, where he scored a decision victory over Sergio Moraes in the tournament final. The victory over Moraes marked Ferreira’s first career decision win and also improved his record to 4-1 over the past 3 years.
