“I mean, she’s obviously not willing to go through the effort to go for the fight,” UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey told ‘Showdown’ Joe Ferraro. “If you’re pumped full of steroids and the lightest you can get it 145 it’s obvious the lightest you can get without steroids is lighter. She refuses to do that and it’s just – I don’t know where this sense of entitlement comes from. She hasn’t had a recorded win in over three years; I mean there’s so many other women. “I’m not – we’re not going to make exceptions and create divisions for someone who was a fraud and defamed the sport.”

Two of the hardest hitting heavyweights will collide at UFC 160, as it was announced today that Mark Hunt (9-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will meet former champion Junior dos Santos (15-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) in the evenings co-main event. Earlier this week, Alistair Overeem (36-12 MMA, 1-1 UFC) pulled out of the highly anticipated fight with dos Santos due to a thigh injury. That news was followed by a phone call between Hunt and UFC president Dana White and 24 hours later, UFC 160 once again has a very intriguing heavyweight co-main event.

It was announced today that a welterweight match-up between Erick Silva (14-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) and John Hathaway (17-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) has been made official for the UFC on FUEL TV 10 event, which will also serve as the finale for the second season of the “Ultimate Fighter: Brazil”. Erick Silva, who was recently forced to pull out of a UFC 156 bout with Jay Hieron due to an injury, will be looking to rebound from a loss he suffered to Jon Fitch this past October. The UFC 153 contest with Fitch may have earned Silva “Fight of the night” honors, but the decision ultimately sent him down the welterweight rankings. Silva will be looking to return to the form that saw him score first-round stoppages over Luis Ramos and Charlie Brenneman.

A welterweight match-up between former Toronto police officer Sean Pierson (13-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and T.J. Waldburger (16-7 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has been added to the upcoming UFC 161 card set for June 15 in Winnipeg, Canada. After a disappointing 1-2 start to begin his UFC career, Sean Pierson has since reeled off back-to-back victories over Lance Benoist and Jake Hecht. Pierson was initially slated to fight at this month’s UFC 158 event in Montreal, but an injury forced him to withdraw from a planned bout with Rick Story.

Two undefeated bantamweight fighters are set to meet at UFC 159 in New Jersey, as it was announced that Johnny Bedford (19-9-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will take on Erik Perez (13-4 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at the Prudential Center on April 27. A semifinalist on “The Ultimate Fighter 14,” Johnny Bedford, has posted back-to-back knockout wins over Louis Gaudinot and Marcos Vinicius since his time on the show. The former NCAA Division I wrestler has won 8 of his past 9 fights and has recorded 15 stoppages in 19 career wins.
