Two of the hardest hitters in the heavyweight division will collide at UFC 160 this May, and not surprisingly, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos has opened as a large favorite over former K1 Champion Mark Hunt. Bestfightodds.com currently has JDS as an early 4.6-to-1 (-460) favorite to defeat the “Super Samoan”. Junior dos Santos looked to be on the verge of a long title reign until he rematched former champ Cain Velasquez at UFC 155, where he suffered his first defeat inside the octagon. Prior to that loss, JDS had gone 9-0 under the UFC banner, including winning the heavyweight title at UFC on FOX 1 with his first-round KO of Cain Velasquez.

Our first guest this week is a Phenom. Sergio Pettis is stopping back in the shop and the last time we talked to him he was stepping into the cage with Jimmy Jones for RFA. Sergio was set to step back in the cage for RFA but injury has forced his fight to be taken off the card. The good news is the phenom is still stepping in the cage and now he’s doing it for North American Fighting Championship in Milwaukee, WI. We will talk to Sergio about the switch in cards, getting a chance to fight in front of the hometown crowd, and of course having his opponents change in such a short time. Sergio is always a great guest and we have plenty to talk about but before he joins the show get over to twitter and follow the Phenom @SergioPettis

UFC bantamweight Roland Delorme (8-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will be fighting in his hometown this June, as it was announced yesterday that he will meet fellow 135-pounder Edwin Figueroa (9-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at UFC 161 in Winnipeg. The bout with Figueroa will mark Delorme’s first fight in 11 months. Roland’s most recent effort came at UFC 149 in July of 2012, where he suffered a KO loss to Francisco Rivera. However, that fight was overturned to a no-contest after Rivera failed his post-fight drug test.

Today, while on Jim Rome’s nationally syndicated radio show, UFC President Dana White told listeners that the long-awaited grudge match between Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz almost happened in a hotel back in 2011. According to Dana White, after Nick defeated B.J. Penn in the headliner of UFC 137 in Las Vegas, Diaz went looking for St. Pierre in the hotel after the event, seeking an impromptu brawl.
