Coker of course talked about Fedor Emelianenko, but said he hasn’t spoken with him about signing with Bellator, however did mention that after his first few fights back if he still wants to fight then they would revisit that decision.

Before Saturday’s massive Bellator ‘Dynamite’ event, the fighters stepped on the mat and got in some last minute workouts in front of the media. ‘Dynamite’ will feature both MMA fights, in the Bellator cage, and GLORY kickboxing matches, which will take place in the ring. Both of which are located on the same floor, next to each other in the same venue. It will be the first show of it’s kind and will especially be interesting to watch during the prelims when there will be both MMA and kickboxing fights happening at the same time.

Mixed Martial Arts veteran Joey Beltran (16-11 MMA) made his middleweight debut at April’s Bellator 136 event, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Brian Rogers. “The Mexicutioner” is set to return to action later this month when he battles Kendall Grove in the co-main event of Bellator 143.

Bellator MMA’s ‘King Mo’ Lawal will take part in this Saturday’s one-night, four-man light heavyweight tournament, being held at Bellator’s ‘Dynamite’ event. The tournament will determine the next 205 title challenger and will feature, ‘King Mo’, Phil Davis, Emanuel Newton and Linton Vassell. After the night is over we’ll know which two men will fight for the title next, as the title is on the line in the main event, with current champ Liam McGeary taking on MMA legend Tito Ortiz.

Everyone has an opinion on UFC fighter Nick Diaz’s controversial five year suspension, handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The support for Diaz has been impressive to say the least. Just about every fighter has come out and shown that they think it’s ridiculous that he was given such a harsh punishment. Even UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey took a moment during her big UFC 193 press conference to go off on the NSAC about their decision.

On Friday night WSOF 23 goes down with two title fights on the line. In the co-main, WSOF middleweight champion David Branch will drop down and look to earn a second title when he fights Teddy Holder for the inaugural light heavyweight title. In the main event we’ll get an epic rematch between lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and Luis Palomino. The two are coming off of a first fight with each other and look to put on another entertaining war.

On Monday, UFC fighter Nick Diaz was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for five years and fined $165,000. This all came from a drug test from UFC 183, when Diaz fought Anderson Silva, that came back positive for marijuana. However, Diaz’s legal team, at least from this writer’s perspective, provided very sufficient evidence and testimony that showed massive inconsistencies in the three tests results, which were all from different labs. Basically one out of the three showed failed results and the NSAC decided that was the test they wanted to go with, and essentially ignore the other two. So, they handed down a five years suspension, something that really has no precedent. There are no guidelines in place that say he should be given that amount of time. The board basically boiled it down to them feeling disrespected by Diaz, for pleading the fifth and for his past offenses. Fair?
