Bellator 'Dynamite' Results

Bellator’s massive cross-promotional event ‘Dynamite’ goes down tonight in San Jose, California and will feature both MMA fights in the cage and GLORY kickboxing matches in the ring, which will be right next to each other. For the most part the fights will take place one after the other, but for a few on the prelims we’ll get to see simultaneous action going in the cage and the ring.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. MMA legends Royce Gracie and Fedor working out together, trying to keep up with their fitness. The two greats were in San Jose, CA as a part of the Bellator ‘Dynamite’s’ Fan Fest. Other guests included Randy Couture, Sakuraba, Frank Shamrock and Cung Le.

Last night at World Series of Fighting 23 there were some pretty exciting finishes, including a 32 second KO and a pretty awesome leg scissor submission. Not to mention lightweight champion Justin Goethe and Luis Palomino’s rematch that delivered and was a wild slugfest until Gaethje ended it in the second. One of the not-so-great highlights of the night happened after the referee had already stopped the fight. Reminiscent of the Rousimar Palhares incident, where he held onto a fight ending submission after the referee clearly stopped the fight.

Last night at WSOF 23, lightweight champion Justin Gaethje once again defeated Luis Palomino in the night’s main event to retain his title. It was a rematch from their previous fight, which Gaethje won via TKO in round 3. This time around it ended in the second when Gaethje landed a massive right hand that dropped Palomino.
Cyborg's Taking Her Training To A Whole New Level

Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is scheduled to make the drop down to 140 pounds for her next fight in the organization. It’s expected that this is the first step towards trying to get to 135, in order to eventually challenge UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. It’s known that she will need to do at least one fight at that weight before jumping over to the UFC.

Top Rank Promotion’s Bob Arum seems to always have something to say about Floyd Mayweather Jr. Manny Pacquiao’s promotor, Arum, recently gave an interview and is calling into question some of Mayweather’s recent drug test results. Arum, via Fight Hub, said that the IV situation is a concern, but he has an even bigger concern, which is that Mayweather’s testosterone levels came back extremely low.

Friday night at WSOF 23 fans were treated to another slugfest in the night’s main event. The first fight between lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and Luis Palomino was an epic war until Gaethje ended it in the third round with brutal leg kicks and punches. This time around he ended things a little quicker and dropped Palomino in the second round with a massive punch.

There were some pretty good staredowns between the fighters, but only one delivered like the main event between light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary and MMA legend Tito Ortiz.

Bellator MMA middleweight Kendall Grove won’t be fighting at ‘Dynamite’ this Saturday, but instead will take on Joey Beltran on next week’s Bellator 143 card. Grove did however help Tito Ortiz train for his title fight against Liam McGeary, which will go down in the main event this Saturday.
