There will be two titles on the line in the co-main and main event of the evening. The inaugural light heavyweight title will be up for grabs when current middleweight champion David Branch takes on Teddy Holder.

What do you expect from a Tito Ortiz fight? Today at the Bellator ‘Dynamite’ weigh-ins all the fighters stepped on the scale and made weight, making tomorrow night official. There were some pretty good staredowns between the fighters, but only one delivered like the main event between light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary and MMA legend Tito Ortiz.

Bellator MMA middleweight Kendall Grove won’t be fighting at ‘Dynamite’ this Saturday, but instead will take on Joey Beltran on next week’s Bellator 143 card. Grove did however help Tito Ortiz train for his title fight against Liam McGeary, which will go down in the main event this Saturday.

Light heavyweight fighter Phil Davis is set to make his Bellator MMA debut on the promotions biggest card yet, this Saturday’s ‘Dynamite’ event. Davis will be one of four fighters competing in the one-night tournament to determine the next title challenger. In his first fight he will be facing former champ Emanuel Newton. If he can get past Newton he’ll meet the winner of ‘King Mo’ Lawal vs. Linton Vassell in the final.

Newton was the former light heavyweight champion before losing to current champ Liam McGeary back in Feb. Now he’s ready to get back to the title and will do so if he becomes the tournament champion.

Legendary MMA fighter Tito Ortiz will once again challenge for a world title on Saturday night when he takes on Bellator’s undefeated light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary in the ‘Dynamite’ main event. Ortiz is coming into the fight with a two fight in streak, over Stephan Bonnar and former middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko. He’ll be taking on the 10-0 champ, who has finishes in 9 of those fights. Still, Ortiz told BJPENN.COM’s Layzie The Savage that he knows he’s the big underdog and actually hopes he’s an even bigger one as the fight grows closer. He mentioned how he was a 6-1 underdog going into his fight with Ryan Bader, a fight he won in under two minutes when he forced Bader to tap.

Both of which are located on the same floor, next to each other in the same venue. It will be the first show of it’s kind and will especially be interesting to watch during the prelims when there will be both MMA and kickboxing fights happening at the same time.
