Mo claims Ortiz is ducking him, while Ortiz says that no one knows who he is, so why fight him.

In the other first round fight, ‘King Mo’ Lawal came out on top. So, Davis knew he would be fighting Lawal in the night’s co-main event. That is, until a last-minute change occurred.

First, Warren will have to make his way through former WEC fighter L.C. Davis this Friday in the main-event of Bellator 143 in Hidalgo, Texas. Long before names like Josh Thomson, Phil Davis and Kimbo Slice made their way to Bellator, Joe Warren was one of the foundations of the young company. The Olympian made his promotional debut back at Bellator 13 in 2010 with a dominant victory over Eric Marriott. Since then, he has gone on to capture the attention of fans and media alike with his unique pre-fight talk. While some would call his pre-fight banter “trash talk”, Warren states it’s more of a warning of fact than anything.

BJJ's Gabi Garcia Will Make MMA Debut At NYE Show In Japan

BJJ practitioner and competitor Gabi Garcia is set to make her MMA debut. Most fans probably know Garcia from her appearance on TUF Brazil, where he acted as a coach on Wanderlei Silva’s team. The thing that caught fan’s eyes during the show was the size of Garcia. She towered over Silva and at the time could have been mistaken for a body builder. Well since then she’s shed just about all of her body fat and is looking completely ripped. Recently, Garcia talked to GNP TV 1 and said that she’s training at Kings MMA and already has a debut set. She couldn’t say much but did say it will be at the NYE card in Japan. Unless it’s a crazy coincidence, it sounds like she’ll be fighting on the same card Fedor will be headlining.

Ahead of that scrap Warren talked to MMAFighting and said that he was obviously upset after the loss to Galvao, but he got over it, got back in the gym and says the desire to reclaim his title is still there.

There was a strange feeling in the air when Bellator said they wold have a major announcement during their live broadcast this past Saturday. With Fedor Emelianenko in attendance many wondered if it had anything to do with him, even though both him and Bellator president Scott Coker had said he will not be signing with the promotion. Well, it turns out they were telling the truth, sort of. The announcement did have to do with Fedor and Bellator, but technically he isn’t signed with the promotion, he’s signed with the former boss of PRIDE FC, Nabuyuki Sakakibara, and will headline an event in Japan on New Years Eve, which will be cross promoted by Bellator and will air on Spike TV.
