The new Japanese promotion that will be holding an event on New Years Eve and will feature the return of Fedor Emelianenko is planning on holding a press conference on Thursday and the word on the street is that they’ll be officially announcing who Fedor will be fighting. But, since the MMA media and fan base are so inpatient, we might already know who that opponent will be.

IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin’s trainer Abel Sanchez recently called out Andre Ward, accusing him of being a liar and using GGG’s name to stay relevant in the sport. Ward has stated that GGG’s promoter turned down a fight offer for Ward to go up against Golovkin. However, Golovkin’s trainer says that’s absolutely false and that Ward never even mentioned Golovkin or fighting him until after GGG had signed a contract to fight IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux on Oct. 17.

He was polarizing, in his bad and good moments. So, who can take up that spot now that he’s retired? According to Bernard Hopkins, the man for the job is former WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

The official White House petition to get Nick Diaz’s five year suspension lifted has blown up, but he still needs all the help he can get! Nearly one month ago, Nick Diaz was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for failing one of his post fight drug tests for marijuana. The commission wanted to make an example out of the fighter and unjustly suspended him for five years. When the result of the hearing was released, fighters took to social media to voice their disproval and it wasn’t long before the White House petition was created.
