News broke earlier today that WSOF Asia LLC has filed a lawsuit against MMAWC, which controls World Series Of Fighting and several key WSOF personnel including Ali Abdelaziz. The lawsuit, which was examined by BloodyElbow, doesn’t look good for WSOF. Many issues, including defamation, breach of contract, financial issues and NAC code violations are all being brought to light.

ONE Championship welterweight titleholder Ben Askren is always going to speak his mind. As the undefeated champion of ONE with a 14-0 record, Askren shared his thoughts with MMA Junkie on Johny Hendricks missing weight for his fight scheduled against former teammate Tyon Woodley at UFC 192. “People are finally getting to see what I’ve known about Johny for more than a decade: his pathetic excuses,” Askren said as both of them were wrestling in the NCAA Division I during the same time of their college careers.

Things aren’t looking good for former K-1 fighter Hong-Man Choi. According to The Korea Times, an arrest warrant has been issued for the 7’2 kickboxer due to unpaid debts dating back to 2013.

Friday night’s Bellator 144 event was packed with finishes, as well as a title fight, but that wasn’t enough to bring eyes to the fight card.  According to MMAFighting, the event drew in a dismal 555,000 viewers, the lowest of any Scott Coker era Bellator event.

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck (17-10 MMA) signed a contract with Bellator MMA this past June and is currently awaiting his first opponent from the promotion. The former “Ultimate Fighter Season 1” star was initially slated to make his first Bellator appearance this December at Bellator 147, but instead is now being targeted for a January event.

All signs are pointing to Manny Pacquiao making his return to professional boxing in April of 2016 in what will be his last fight before he hangs up his gloves for good. “Pac-Man” has not competed in a boxing ring since his record-breaking fight with Floyd Mayweather in May 2015’s “fight of the century”. The result didn’t play out exactly how Manny had hoped; Mayweather’s defensive style of fighting ultimately led to “Money’s” hands being raised in victory after twelve rounds of action. Rumors circulated whether or not a rematch would take place before Mayweather confirmed his retirement after his bout with Andre Berto in September.
