In response to Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks’ claim of the Pitbull brothers attacking him, Patricio Freire tweeted that Brooks is a liar. The featherweight champion of Bellator who also fights on Friday at Bellator 145 even posted a previous tweet from Brooks in August that foreshadowed an incident brewing. Will Brooks is a liar. He hit Patricky first and came at me, I went after him too and my first punch landed. We were separated.

Just two days from defending his title against Marcin Held, Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks claimed in a tweet that the Pitbull brothers, Patricio and Patricky Freire, jumped him. Patricio is the Bellator featherweight champion and older brother Patricky fights in the same division as champion Will Brooks in the Bellator lightweight division. Patricio also defends his title against Daniel Straus on Friday at Bellator 145.

Last month Rousimar Palhares answered to the NSAC for holding a kimura submission after Jake Shields tapped out at WSOF 22. Following the bout Palhares was immediately stripped of the WSOF championship. Palhares was suspended for 2 years for ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’ given that this isn’t the first time he has held a submission after his opponent tapped out.
