That one “best” individual all comes down to one’s point of view and there will always be an argument coming in hot for the debate. In the recent UFC 194 post-fight press conference, Conor McGregor was asked by a media member if he feels that he is the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, and he said that he is. McGregor said that he as a whole package, no one can do it better than him. The UFC currently has McGregor as number three.

He’s officially the #2 heavyweight in the world and with a win against Alistair Overeem (39-14-1 MMA), Santos will have a good argument to challenge for the belt after a rematch between Velasquez vs Werdum that will take place in February or March of this year.
