After the biggest fight of his life on Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather Jr. joined the press at the post-fight press conference to yield questions.

He talked about the fight, about Pacquiao, about his money and then casually slipped in that he plans on relinquishing his titles. Mayweather has one more fight on his contract and said he plans on fighting in September, possibly for the last time.

Here’s what he said when asked about giving up his 5 titles.

“I don’t know if it will be Monday or maybe a couple weeks. I’ll talk to my team and see what we need to do. Other fighters need a chance. Give other fighters a chance. I’m not greedy.

“I’m a world champion in two different weight classes. It’s time to let other fighters fight for the belt.”
