White: ‘McGregor Told Me He Wants To Fight Edgar Next’

By BJPENN.COM News - September 24, 2015

There’s been a lot of talk about UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor moving up to lightweight following his fight with champ Jose Aldo at UFC 194. Even the Irishman himself has talked about it, feuding with 155’s Donald Cerrone and champ Rafael dos Anjos.

However, UFC president Dana White recently revealed that McGregor told him if he beats Aldo then he would also like to fight Frankie Edgar before switching divisions.

Here’s what he told FOX Sports Live:

“If he beats Jose Aldo, he told me he would also like to fight Frankie. We’ll see how this thing plays out.”

Edgar is surprisingly one fighter McGregor has yet to get into any kind of feud with. He was actually pretty cordial with him during the ‘GO BIG’ press conference, commending him for admitting he wants the ‘big money’ fight.

Does that fight sound good to you?
