Fabricio Werdum went into enemy territory and walked out with the prize at “UFC 188”, and he did it all with a smile on his face. Cain Velasquez lost his UFC Heavyweight Championship Saturday when he essentially dove into a submission in the third round.

As Werdum was fighting off a takedown, he caught Velasquez’s neck and trapped him in a guillotine choke. Velasquez was forced to tap out, but before he could do that Werdum was already celebrating his win with laughter.

“I’m so happy. It was awesome. It was a war, a great fight,” Werdum told Portal do Vale Tudo. “Velasquez is such a tough guy, a really hard opponent, but I was able to do my strategy and do it all according to the plan. I’ve been training that guillotine for a long time, I thought of it and practiced it a lot. When I saw the opportunity, I knew I wasn’t going to let it go, I even started to laugh before he tapped.”

Werdum continued his celebration in the octagon with his corner, but challengers are quickly lining up to take him down. Who do you think is next in line?
