WATCH! Fighter Flips Off Opponent While Stuck In Choke

The triangle choke is a submission move that can truly come out of nowhere. As spectators, fans can have the primary camera angle and a submission specialist in Joe Rogan to help them see that the hold is coming. In the heat of the moment, however, it’s a bit more difficult for a fighter to see their opponent’s legs fly up in attempt to lock in the submission hold.

The moment a fighter is trapped in a triangle choke, they have several options as to which step to make next. There are several methods Corey Conway could have taken to escape the hold, but he chose to send a message to his opponent and let the referee he was still awake with one fell swoop…

It looks like he took the Stockton approach, except Nate Diaz was on the offensive side of it when he flipped his opponent off!
