On Tuesday we found out that former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will not be serving any jail time stemming from his hit-and-run incident back in April.
He appeared in court and plead guilty to a felony charge of fleeing the scene, as part of a plea deal agreement. The judge heard from Jones’ lawyer and then from Jones himself, who apologized to the court, the pregnant women he hit in the crash an to all those who he’s embarrassed.
After the ruling, Jones released an official statement regarding the matter and the judges ruling.
Also, almost immediately after the hearing, the UFC put out their own statement, saying that they are going to review the plea agreement before discussing his possible return to competition.
