UFC Rankings: Women’s bantamweight division undergoes major changes with Alexis Davis’ removal

Despite there not being many ranked fighters on “UFC Fight Night 76”, there were still some major moves made in the UFC rankings this week. The majority of the weight classes remained unscathed, but the moves that were made were drastic changes.

Dominick Cruz is officially the number one contender according to the rankings as he leap frogged above Renan Barao. Joseph Benavidez is also officially alone in the number one spot as fellow flyweight John Dodson fell in the rankings to number two.

The pregnant Alexis Davis will be watching the actions from the sidelines for quite some time and the ranking committee have agreed to remove her completely. This is unlikely to hurt Davis’ status in the UFC when she makes her return n 2016.
