The Ultimate Fighting Championship has decided to raise their pay-per-view prices in 2015.

Promotion officials released a statement today regarding the increase, stating that the increased cost of producing live events is to blame for the rate hike.

The UFC has kept their rates the same since 2008, however going forward the new cost of pay-per-view’s will be up $5.00.

Depending on broadcast quality, the cost to buy a UFC pay-per-view was $44.99 – $49.99. Now the cost jumps to $49.99 for standard definition broadcasts, and $54.99 for high-definition.

MMAJunkie.com was the first to report the rate increase.
