UFC Newcomer Sage Northcutt: ‘I’ve Always Seen Myself In The UFC’

By BJPENN.COM News - September 30, 2015

The hype surrounding UFC newcomer Sage Northcutt is pretty impressive. Northcutt, at only 19 years old, will make his UFC debut this Saturday at UFC 192.

The undefeated fighter will take on Francisco Trevino in a lightweight scrap and a lot of questions will be answered about the fighter. Will he be the UFC’s next big star, or is it too early to put these kinds of expectations on him?

Northcutt joined the main event fighters at the open workouts on Wednesday and talked to the media while he was there.

Here’s what he said:

“It’s an honor to be out here doing an open workout with everybody, and for everyone to see this. I’m very thankful for this. I’ve trained for this my whole life, and getting to the UFC has always been a goal of mine, so I always visualized this, always seen myself in the UFC, and, here it is, I’m excited.”
