‘UFC FN 42’ Results: Cummins Proves Himself by Finishing Narvaez In Round 2

By bjpenndotcom - June 7, 2014

Upon his signing and debut, it was obvious that Patrick Cummins was a product of the ‘UFC Hype Machine’. He was doomed for disaster right from the start against Daniel Cormier and he put on a much better showing tonight against Roger Narvaez.

Their bout opened up tonight’s ‘UFC Fight Night’ event and their preliminary bout aired live on UFC Fight Pass.

Cummins dominated from the start and utilized his takedowns to drain the energy from Narvaez’s gas-tank. While postured over Narvaez, Cummins was able to knock him for a loop with a right-hand. Upon replay-review, it is obvious that it was a strike to the back of the head. However, the referee missed it and Cummins benefited from the missed call. Narvaez flopped to his back where Cummins landed eight unanswered shots and that was all she wrote.
