Misha Cirkunov WINS

Misha Cirkunov

Misha Cirkunov and Daniel Jolly kicked off “UFC Fight Night 74” on UFC Fight Pass with an exciting light heavyweight matchup. Cirkunov and Jolly both made their octagon debuts tonight, but it was Cirkunov who has his hands raised in victory when the fight was over.

Cirkunov utilized his superior grappling skills to repeatedly take the fight to the ground where he had the advantage. Jolly made his way back to his feet the first time, but made the mistake of getting back in the judo expert’s throwing distance to get thrown to the mat again. This time, Cirkunov landed in full mount and it wasn’t long before Jolly gave up his back.

Rather than go for submission, Cirkunov chose to throw bombs to a turtled Jolly. Jolly blocked the majority of the blows until a solid left hand landed, allowing the rest of Cirkunov’s punches to land clean. The referee gave Jolly every chance he could to recover but he had no choice but to wave the fight off with fifteen seconds remaining.
